Boat Details

We have attempted to give the "Famous" details here, however more boat details can be found by following the external links.

The "Famous" is a 10m Blyth catamaran which has been designed to provide optimal safety, low hull resistance, stability and performance. She is COP 60 coded for 12 passengers.

The Blyth 10m is a proven work boat with more than 20 years of service to the marine industry. We believe she has an unbeaten track record and is still the original (and best) commercial catamaran in her class. Providing a spacious work platform, coupled with stability that will out-perform most mono-hulls and speeds of up to 28 knots, you will find it hard to find a boat to match her for comfort, economy, durability and reliability

The Famous is Dave's third boat. He wanted something that could get out to the fishing sites very quickly but was also comfortable for the passengers at the same time.

He spent ages travelling around the country test driving lots of different makes and models before he finally decided to commission the Blyth Cat.

He conducted the sea trails in the River Thames in October 2007. Then he brought her straight home to Hartlepool in one run. The weather was excellent for October but the sea was still rough at times.

Taking delivery of a new boat is always a nerve raking time. However Dave smiled the whole way home. He was like a dog with two tails. His new boat had performed beyond his wildest dreams. It was fast and stable, even in rough seas.

The engines are quiet and the passengers have so much space they can play football between bites.
